Here are the pages for the presentations thus far. As you look at them try to think of ways to improve the clarity of the pages once they have been imported into the SlideShare slideshow.

Collaborative Essay #1

October 25th, 2006 by · 16 Comments · Free Response, Uncategorized

The following Free Response Question will appear on an upcoming evaluation of your knowledge. Work together to produce the ideas and supporting elements for an answer to be given in essay form. Each person must login (stdt nbr) and post one contribution as a comment. Comments must present a new supporting detail. That is, one that has not already been presented. This means you must read each other’s comments before posting. Use the letter a, b or c, to indicate which portioin of the question you are responding to. You may also comment on each others posts. But remember your net etiquette! Be constructive. ( I don’t like having to remind you, but I will: Any improper use of the net will result in suspension from internet use and participaton in these assignments.)

Welcome to the AP Biology Blog!

The first blogging assignment should be fairly painless. (I’m just hoping it works.) After reading pages 54 and 55 in the text, respond with a comment on one of the following prompts:

1. Development of the Cell Theory yielded three generalizations. State one of the generalizations and list the name of a scientist and their finding which supports the generalization. Include the date of the research.

or

2. In 1676, Isaac Newton in a letter to Robert Hook wrote “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” How would you interpret this statement in the development of the cell theory specifically or any scientific endeavor in general?
